By the end of Kindergarten students will be to meet the following academic expectations:
Math:

Can recognize, construct, count and compare numbers 1-20

Can identify and label 2D and 3D shapes

Solve simple number stories using addition and subtraction up to 10

Describe and compare objects using measurable attributes(longer, shorter, heavier)

Rote count by 1’s and 10’s beyond 100

Develop meaning for operations(+/-/=)
ELA:

Develops listening and speaking skills

Expresses ideas in complete sentences

Recognizes and names capital and lowercase letters and sounds

Recognizes rhyming words

Reads and writes high frequency sight words

Literature comes in many forms
Science:
Students will study trees and weather to understand how it relates to the world around them. In addition, students will extend their Science knowledge by participating in Earth Ambassadors, a K5 club based on environmental learning.
Social Studies:
We teach children how to be safe, respectful and responsible.
