Stormonth’s curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners and provide rich opportunities to learn in a supportive and safe environment. Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, collaboration, reasoning, inquiry and communication. We pride ourselves on achieving Significantly Exceeds Expectations, the highest rating on the Wisconsin State Report Card, year after year. In addition, our District has also recently been awarded Top Workplace in Wisconsin through the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In our classrooms, you will see large and small group instruction occurring throughout the day. Our lessons are highly differentiated and tailored to meet the needs of students who are in need of intervention or extension. Our school is full of highly trained staff members, including Reading Specialists, Math Specialists, Instructional Coaches, English Learner teacher, Talent Development teachers, and an array of Special Education staff. Small class sizes and highly qualified teachers make the classroom conducive to learning. Stormonth Elementary prepares students for 21st century learning. We offer unique opportunities at each grade level to prepare our students for the academic world and global citizenship. We offer one-to-one technology beginning in First Grade. Opportunities such as purposeful play, Motor Lab, STORM (Stormonth Technologists, Originators, Readers and Makers), social-emotional lessons, Earth Ambassadors, Talent Development programming, Musicals, and community partnerships with the Audubon and other local nonprofits that focus on teaching students respect, responsibility, tolerance, kindness, honesty, and citizenship.
