At the Fox Point-Bayside School Board meeting on November 18, 2024, the School Board approved Superintendent Dr. Jeff Dellutri’s request to retire, effective June 30, 2025.
The Board thanks Dr. Dellutri for his time and dedication to our district. Throughout his tenure, our district achieved record academic success and accomplished significant milestones that have strengthened our schools and community. Board President Dr. David Melbye expressed his gratitude for Dr. Dellutri’s contributions and explained the upcoming transition process to families in the Superintendent Search letter sent on December 19, 2024.
The Board has enlisted the services of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) to facilitate a collaborative and transparent search process to select our next superintendent who will continue our tradition of academic excellence.
We are committed to a thorough and inclusive search, engaging our community, staff, and stakeholders throughout. This page will serve as the central hub for updates, information, and opportunities for community engagement throughout the evaluation process.

Timeline
It is our goal for our next superintendent to start their responsibilities on July 1, 2025. In the next few months, key steps in the search and selection process will take place. Focus Group and Survey Feedback
The Fox Point-Bayside School District is interested in gathering input from all staff and community members as we begin the process of hiring the district's next superintendent.
Please consider providing your input by:
- Attending a community focus group on Tuesday, January 28 at 7:00 PM at the District Office at 603 E. Ellsworth Lane, and/or
- Completing the School District Staff & Community Survey, available through February 1, 2025.
The information gathered from the online survey and focus groups will assist the Board in the creation of a profile outlining the skills and characteristics sought in candidates for the position and the development of questions to be used in the interviews.

Framework for our Future
Our strategic plan is a vital framework in the search for a new superintendent, as it ensures that the chosen candidate is capable of advancing the district’s long-term objectives. During the search process, the plan serves as a guide to identify candidates with the skills, experience, and vision necessary to implement key initiatives outlined in the plan, such as improving student outcomes, fostering equity, and enhancing community engagement.
The superintendent’s ability to align with and drive forward the goals set out in the strategic plan is carefully considered, with the goal of selecting a Superintendent who will not only oversee day-to-day operations but also inspire and lead the district in achieving its broader educational priorities and future growth.
