Students in 8th grade art class will be exploring Pop Art through painting. Students will be encouraged to see how what was popular when the Pop Art movement was first created is not what is popular in their life. Students will observe and discuss “retro art”--past concepts that can be revisited as popular once again. Students will be able to revisit activities taught in previous years and create new art.
