2010-11 District Direction and Goals
1) Foster a school community culture that promotes and embodies respect, responsibility, accountability, and civility.
a. Create culture of high expectations and professionalism from staff, teachers, administration and students; professionalism in words, actions, appearance, and products.
b. Provide and communicate a positive, supportive, healthy, ecologically responsible and efficient environment for learning.
c. Implement standard administrator, teacher, and staff evaluation systems to ensure high level performance, professionalism and accountability.
2) Provide an educational environment where students are fully engaged and learning at their individual maximum capacity.
a. Increase accountability of all administrators, teachers, and staff for all students’ learning through shared responsibility for engaging students at all levels of learning, consistent RtI implementation, using data to guide instruction, scheduling to support student learning, and a focus on continuous improvement.
b. Implement technology to deliver differentiated curriculum and increase student engagement in learning.
c. Implement standards administrator, teacher, and staff evaluation systems to ensure high level performance, professionalism and accountability.
3) Effectively use resources (time, talent, finances, technology) to enhance the capacity of the school district to deliver a high quality, showcase educational experience for all students.
a. Implement technology to increase efficiency and enhance communication throughout the district
b. Leverage available resources to support the mission, vision and goals of the school district with a focus on preparing students as global citizens.
c. Make decisions based on sustainable practices that will enhance the capacity of the district to thrive over the long term.
